Nevin Aladağ´s sculptural objects oscillate between form and function. She never questions spaces only as a physical-manifest event, but also as a social structure that is shaped by gestures and codes. Questions of cultural transfer as well as identity as a fluid concept are inscribed in her works. In many of her works, she uses sculptural-performative means to create sounds, which she uses as raw material for rhythmic and experimental compositions.

Aladağ has been a participant in documenta 14 (2017), the 57th Venice Biennale (2017), the Sharjah Biennale (2013), Ruhr Triennale (2016), the XIV Biennale Internazionale di Scultura, Carrara (2010), the 11th. Istanbul Biennale (2009) and
